Chicago Med: Episode 2.10 Preview – Maggie’s arresting officer re-enters the picture

Tonight on NBC, “Chicago Med” returned with its first episode in a couple of months, one that gave you a good indication as to where certain relationships were at and also some more complicated cases. Jeff revealed a secret to Natalie, and Choi was forced to deal with everything from aggressive patients to racism in taking on a pair of fighters.

Next week, the show is going to be doing something a little bit different, and giving you a story that will heavily spotlight Maggie in a way that we haven’t seen in some time. Remember the officer who ended up putting her in handcuffs on the show last season? Well, that said officer is going to be coming back to the hospital, and Maggie has to figure out how to not let her past animosity get in the way of the job.

Synopsis – “Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Charles’ (Oliver Platt) heart transplant patient gets into a car crash, revealing issues that could complicate her surgery. A past arrest causes trouble for Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) when the arresting officer is brought to Chicago Med with a serious injury. Elsewhere, Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) must defend their actions when explaining a patient’s cause of death. Meanwhile, Dr. Halstead attempts to treat an uncooperative horse jockey.”

In case you are wondering why we are choosing to focus on the Maggie story in particular here, the simple answer to that is solely because there’s not necessarily much with the other storylines at the moment that are particularly eye-catching or different than what we usually see on the show … though we are interested in what an “uncooperative horse jockey” looks like.

The promo below also focuses almost exclusively on the Maggie storyline, and we’re going to see a heavy police presence at the hospital. Not only that, but Platt’s going to be stopping by at one point!
