Are you ready for Tracy Spiridakos to make her official debut on Chicago PD season 4?
If you look below via Entertainment Weekly, you can get a first look at the Revolution alum (and recent MacGyver guest star) making her first appearance on the NBC edition of the show. You’re going to specifically see her started on May 3 as Hailey Upton, a detective within the robbery homicide unit who gets into some conflict with Voight. Both parties are going to think that they have proper jurisdiction over a crime scene, and as you would expect, there will be a little bit of chaos that comes along with that.
Also, you’re going to see potentially explored over the course of Spiridakos’ arc some history between Upton and Trudy Platt. Does Hailey know that Trudy is even working for the Chicago PD? That is one of several questions that the arc could explore. We’re intrigued about it mostly because it’s another way to add to the overall tapestry of the department. Also, it will give the show an additional female perspective while Marina Squierciati (Kim Burgess) is currently on maternity leave for the remainder of the season.
While we’re excited to see what Tracy does bring to the show the remainder of the season, we also are eager to see what is coming via Sophia Bush’s Lindsay. All of the indications that are out there at the moment suggest that a pretty emotional time is ahead for her at the end of this season, and we’re talking in terms of some personal and professional conflicts. This is the sort of stuff that most Chicago PD fans live for — you don’t want to see characters you love suffer, but it’s all fictional and it does give Sophia Bush an opportunity to showcase some more of her acting chops.
