Moving into the final arc of The Flash season 3, it’s pretty clear that the series has a heck of a lot going on. You’ve got Savitar causing all sorts of trouble for Barry Allen, and you’re also starting to see the birth now of Killer Frost … the true birth. Now that she’s been brought back to life thanks to what happened in the most-recent episode, the metaphorical toothpaste is now out of the tube.
On the May 9 episode entitled “Cause and Effect,” let’s just say that you can expect to see a little more of Killer Frost in some surprising ways. The character is going to turn up with what is being described as an “interesting proposal” for some members of the team. What that means, however, is not entirely clear. The only thing that we do know is that it doesn’t appear as though Caitlin Snow herself is going to be turning up anytime soon.
As for what else is coming in the episode, Barry will be doing everything that he can to stop Savitar. Meanwhile, H.R. is going to look for some support elsewhere; specifically, he will be doing so courtesy of Tracy Brand, the new character played by Anne Dudek coming up over the final episodes of this season. All indications are that there is a connection between Tracy and Savitar that will be explored. She’s someone who could, in theory, manage to take on Savitar in a unique way. We’ll just have to say that this showdown is going to be interesting since there are so many different variables that are at play.
What is also interesting here is that in general, The CW is being somewhat mysterious about this final stretch of episodes. While the network / the studio over at Warner Bros. has opted to release a little bit of information regarding what is coming up for its sister show in Arrow, there isn’t nearly as much information out there about The Flash just yet. Hopefully, that is just because the show is going to contain so many reveals where it would be impossible to show anything off.
