Following tonight’s new episode, the good news is that there are no hiatuses coming — Chicago PD season 4 episode 21 will be coming on NBC in seven days’ time! This episode entitled “Fagin” is going to provide a number of key stories, but perhaps the most notable is that it could mark the beginning of a long, difficult stretch for Sophia Bush’s character of Erin Lindsay. She will be going through hell at the end of the season; it remains to be seen just how she is going to emerge on the other side, but we certainly hope that she is able to emerge in one piece a better, stronger person at the very end. It may just provide difficult to get there.
Beyond all of that, there is something else very notable about this episode — it marks the debut of Tracy Spiridakos, who is going to recur over the final episodes of the season. She may help to fill the temporary void left by Marina Squerciati, who is off on maternity leave for the remainder of the season. Don’t worry, as Burgess is going to be back for the end of the season and there’s nothing to worry about there.
Now, let’s go ahead and hand over a few more details regarding what is coming up…
Synopsis – “When the team is called to an in-progress bank robbery, they come across Detective Hailey Upton (guest star Tracy Spiridakos) trying to take over the crime scene with her Robbery-Homicide unit – butting heads with Voight (Jason Beghe) in the process. As the robberies continue to be executed around the city, Lindsay (Sophia Bush) is forced to make a decision in the heat of the moment, revealing a surprising suspect behind the mask. While working on the case at the district, Upton is shocked to come across Platt (Amy Morton), who has a special connection to her past.”
Promo – Specifically, this preview does focus heavily on the mystery of the person behind the mask … which is going to be a big reveal. We suggest that you watch live if you want to avoid spoilers!
