Following tonight’s episode, The Big Bang Theory season 10 episode 23 appears to be very keen in its attempts to set up its endgame. This is a story where you will get a chance to see the completion of the Colonel Williams’ air force project (at least seemingly), and it’s also one that could set up a big change in Sheldon and Amy’s relationship.
For more on that, we invited you to take a look at the synopsis below.
Synopsis – “After Leonard, Sheldon and Wolowitz celebrate the completion of the top secret air force project, they are met with an unpleasant surprise. Also, Amy is offered a summer position as a visiting researcher.”
Presumably, Amy’s new position is somewhere else, and we figure that what makes this interesting is that it could continue the longstanding show tradition of having some major character venture away for the summer, which has happened with Leonard and even all of the guys at one point or another. It’s a chance for Amy to do something wonderful for her career, and it’s a big test to see if Sheldon can allow himself to think primarily in terms of what someone else wants as opposed to simply what he wants for a chance. As we look to set up the endgame for the series, we do think that this is especially significant.
Where will this take us in the finale? Well, we know that Riki Lindhome is going to be appearing in the final episode as an old devotee of Sheldon’s, someone who could try to cause some trouble in his life. If she is anything like she once was, it wouldn’t stun us in the slightest if she did try to come in and tell Sheldon that Amy is getting in the way of him being the skilled, masterful researcher that she sees him as.
In regards to the government contract, we really just hope, that Leonard, Sheldon, and Howard end up getting paid well given all of the time they’ve put into this.
