Fox has now officially unveiled some of the first Empire season 3 finale spoilers, and they are touching on some familiar themes. Namely, we’re talking about a further feud between Lucious and Cookie. These two characters are going to be at the center of the story both in the first and second part of the event. The first part airs on May 17, and the second part will come out one week later on May 24.
As for who is the responsible party, and in many ways the source of the chaos, the answer to that is pretty simple: Lucious. It feels wrong to completely blame Guiliana for it despite whatever influence she may have over Terrence Howard’s character. He is still a grown man capable of figuring out precisely what he wants to do. The same also goes with his relationship with other characters, given that there are some elements of the finale that feel as though they are going to cause some significant tension between Lucious and Jamal. Right when you start to think that things between the two of them are getting better, something else comes along and kicks that door down.
Below, you can see an assortment of further news in terms of what’s coming up next.
“Toil and Trouble,” Part I – “When Cookie is banned from Leviticus Vegas, she pulls together a team of her own allies to seek revenge on Giuliana and steal her secret weapon. Meanwhile, Jamal is encouraged to put his album on hold, so as not to compete with Lucious’ ‘Infero.’”
“Toil and Trouble,” Part II – “As Lucious gets ready to launch EMPIRE Las Vegas with Giuliana at his side, Cookie pulls together her own team of allies to wreak havoc on the opening. The final five minutes will leave viewers speechless.”
Judging from how that second synopsis reads, there is a very good chance that the episode is going to end with a big cliffhanger, and something that will cause plenty of raised eyebrows and excitement as we move further into the fourth season. For the record, that was ordered a good while ago.
