When will the Grey’s Anatomy season 14 premiere date be on ABC? Ellen Pompeo and the cast are coming back for more, but when?
The first thing to note in this article is that Grey’s Anatomy season 14 was ordered officially earlier this season, and it will run for at least 22 episodes once more (likely 24). It is retaining its timeslot Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, where it serves as an anchor for the Shonda Rhimes #TGIT lineup. This is still ABC’s most-watched scripted show, and the fact that it’s managed to achieve that a good 14 seasons in is truly shocking and worthy of a little bit of celebration.
As for when season 14 could premiere, all signs are pointing to either Thursday, September 21 or the following week. This is a show that does often start at around the same time, as many anchors often do. In this era where there is so much when it comes to competition, you want to have something to rely on. This show is that to so many different people out there who watch it.
Unfortunately, there isn’t too much else that is known about the story for the season yet, other than that there is presumably a firefighter themed spin-off coming at some point during the season. Maybe it will be planted for the 2018-19 season, or it could start at some point before then. At the moment, it’s not entirely clear just when it will be or what it will either look like. One way or another, it’s going to be another exciting batch of episodes.
Unfortunately, the only other thing that we do know right now is certainly rather sad, as Jerrika Hinton (Stephanie) is going to be leading the show at the end of this season for a new project. She had a great run, and this was a nice send-off for her since we saw her doing everything that she could in order to be a hero and overcoming one of her biggest weaknesses: Her lack of beside manner, which has plagued her with many patients over the past year.
