The Originals: Episode 4.10 Return Date – Daniel Gillies directs!

Want to know The Originals season 4 episode 10 return date coming out of tonight’s new episode on The CW? We come bearing great news! Unfortunately, there’s some bad news to go along with it, given that said return date is not this week. Instead, the series is going to be coming back on the air on Friday, June 2 with a new episode entitled “Phantomesque,” which is a curious name. How can you be like a phantom? This feels like one of those things that you either are or are not, and there is not a whole lot of difference in between.

Nonetheless, this episode is also notable in that it is directed by Daniel Gillies, which makes it the third episode this season helmed by a series regular on this show. (Both Joseph Morgan and Charles Michael Davis have already stepped into the chair for an episode this season.) While this is not the first time that Gillies has directed, it does mark the first time that he’s done so for this show.

The good news is that for this episode, Gillies is going to get a chance to spend some time working with some very popular actors in Claire Holt and Nathaniel Buzolic who aren’t always around. they will be essential moving forward in the battle to take on the increasingly-mysterious The Hollow that is causing problems aplenty in New Orleans.

Synopsis – “After the devastating events of the previous episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) requests that his estranged siblings Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) return home to stand by their family against The Hollow. Meanwhile, Freya (Riley Voelkel) recruits Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) for a dangerous journey that will put both their lives at risk – but may be the sole means of saving someone they love. Elsewhere, tensions rise when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) leads a hunt for The Hollow – putting him on a collision course with the person he was least prepared to face. Finally, as Kol continues to mourn the loss of Davina, he is forced to consider the lengths he’d go to see her again.”
